Identity of the bodies in Gronau clarified: the cause of death remains a mystery

The Münster public prosecutor's office and the Münster and Borken police departments have now announced that the second deceased is a 23-year-old Pole who comes from near Gdansk and was acquainted with the first deceased. The investigation came through important DNA analysis, in which a saliva sample from the deceased's mother was used to confirm his identity.

While the final causes of death are still unclear, chemical residues used in the production of synthetic drugs were found on the bodies. Traces of amphetamine and cocaine were also found on their clothing.
