ATM blast in Borken: 24-year-old arrested, accomplices on the run!

Together with three accomplices that are still on the run, he left chaos in a bank branch, as reported by the State Criminal Police Office.

The perpetrators ran from the bank after the explosion and fled on foot while the officials were able to snap the 24-year-old. However, a fourth suspect escaped with a powerful vehicle. The police mobilized a large contingent to gain the fleeting accomplices. The prey from this violent assault is still unclear, but the investigators are already on the trail: two explosive packages were discovered during the evidence of evidence.

The arrested suspect is no stranger - he has already caused a stir in several federal states, including Hessen, because he is in connection with similar ATM blasts. When he was arrested, he had two travel bags with him, which contained several ten thousand euros in cash. It is currently being examined whether this money comes from the blown -out machine. The explosion caused considerable damage to an estimated half a million euros, fortunately nobody was injured. While the investigation continues, the LKA is looking for witnesses together with the public prosecutor. So far, 22 ATMs have already been blown up in Hesse in 2024 - a worrying trend that alerts the security authorities.
