With a total of 270.201 vehicle accidents and 2,533 deaths, the situation is dramatic. Particularly striking: Most accidents happen in the most populous federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria.

in Bonn, the Godesberger Allee stands out-with 29 accidents, including two serious injuries! Kölnstrasse is also a focus of accident where a fatal accident and several severe collisions took place. In the Rhein-Sieg district, Bonner Straße is the most dangerous street with 30 accidents, followed by the A560 and Frankfurter Strasse in Hennef. The numbers are alarming and show that the streets have to become safer!

The most dangerous streets in Germany

At the national level, Trierer Straße in Aachen and a section of the A7 at Bad Fallingbostel are the leaders each with 63 accidents! The Cuxhavener Straße in Hamburg and Hammer Straße in Münster follow closely behind. The Kalker Hauptstraße in Cologne finished fifth with 55 accidents. These streets are a warning signal for all road users!

The number of accidents in Bonn and the surrounding area rose by 13 percent in 2023! The Königstrasse and the Endicher egg are particularly dangerous for cyclists, where ten accidents took place. Pedestrians are particularly at risk at Bonn Central Station and at Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. The police warn: the streets are not only a risk for drivers, but also for cyclists and pedestrians!
