VfL Bochum II remains unbeaten: Kojic leads to the 3: 1 victory in Clarholz!
Clarholz/Bochum. The U23 of the VfL Bochum remains unbeaten in the Oberliga Westphalia! With an impressive 3-1 victory against Victoria Clarholz, Heiko Butscher's team continues its successful series. That was already the twelfth game in a row in which the Bochumers did not lose. The team only had to give up on the first matchday against Ennepetal. In Clarholz, they left no doubt that they wanted to win here too.
The game started furiously: Özdemir brought the Bochumers into the lead in the 4. minute. But the hosts equalized just three minutes later when Sergio Gucciaro converted a corner directly. Despite this compensation, the Bochumers remained the dominant team and left little chance. Semin Kojic, the top goal scorer of the VfL, laced a double pack (27th and 74th minute) and thus increased his goal balance to impressive eleven goals this season. VfL Bochum now has a lead of five points to the pursuers and consolidates its status as a favorite for promotion to the regional league.
The next opponent is waiting!
Already on Saturday for the VfL reserve will continue when the SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl is a guest on Castroper Straße (3 p.m., live on waz.de). Clarholz, on the other hand, meets SV Lippstadt on the same day. The spectators in Clarholz were there with 337 fans and experienced an exciting game that the Bochumers again presented as a serious promotion candidate.
