But that was just the beginning: at 2:40 a.m. a 28-year-old became a target on Kortumstrasse. The attacker captured her and robbed her of her handbag before he was prey towards Willy-Brandt-Platz.

The acts increased: At 5:35 a.m., a 17-year-old was attacked on Kortumstrasse and deprived of her handbag. Once again, the perpetrator sneaked up his victim from behind and quickly disappeared into the dark. Last but not least, a 35-year-old Herne had to defend herself an attack on the lower market road at 6:45 a.m. when the unknown tried to snatch her handbag. She was able to ward off the attack with a lot of courage and the perpetrator fled the stairs on the "Square on the cowhirt".

In all four cases, a similar perpetrator is described: male, between 20 and 30 years old, slim, 1.75 to 1.85 meters tall with "southern appearance" and dark hair.
