Auxiliary convoy from Bochum: Fifth container for Cuba on the way!
In an impressive campaign, the humanitarian cubahilfe from Bochum packed its fifth 40-foot container this year on October 4, 2024. This is expected to arrive at the end of the month in Mariel, Cuba. It is no secret that the small Caribbean island has been suffering from an U.S. economic blockade that has been contrary to international law for decades that affects not only food but also essential medication.
The youngest container is full of border with urgently needed donations. These are medical utensils such as syringes, cannulas and venous catheters, but also surgical gloves and bandages. In addition, there are valuable medical textiles, materials for a computer project in Guantanamo, and even truck tires. The donations are not only intended for the Cuban partners of Quisicuaba, but also support a new animal welfare project in Pinar del Río and menstrual cups that are sent by the FRIMPLY company FRG-Kuba.
more containers for medical help
At the same time, the Cuban partners of Quisicuaba take care of displacing, emptying and distributing the fourth container that was already shipped in August. This shows how well coordinated auxiliary measures can be implemented effectively even under difficult conditions.
The humanitarian cuba help emphasizes that all this support and purchase of numerous pacemakers via Medicuba-Europe are only possible through the continuous and generous donations from the supporters. Dr. Klaus Piel, the chairman of the organization, emphasized: "We would like to thank you for this. But as you know, according to the container, it is in front of the container."
Currently, materials for 1.5 more 40-foot containers are already stored, which are to be launched in the first quarter of 2025. These containers are globally co -financed by engagement, but numerous acquisitions are still required to continue the support.
For those who want to financially support humanitarian cubahilfe, there is a donation account at the Sparkasse Dortmund. The IBAN is DE52 4405 0199 0091 0160 36, with the intended use "HCH projects" or "Medicuba projects" to promote pacemaker and heparin production in Cuba.
An important note: In the case of donations under 300 euros, the transfer receipt is sufficient as a donation receipt. In the case of higher amounts, a donation receipt is issued if the donor indicates its full address in the intended use.
