A brilliant victory for the “savior hearts” from Wittmund! At the weekend, the committed young people celebrated when they won the coveted Kika Award in the “Commitment” category. Your impressive first aid project has inspired and trained not only children, but also seniors. With their motto “I’ll show you how to save,” they have trained over 500 participants in free workshops that take place every two weeks.
The “Retterherzen” are part of the Wittmund youth organization and are passionate about promoting awareness of first aid and emergency rescue. They visit schools, kindergartens and senior citizen facilities to teach how to deal with patients and use defibrillators. “We are really happy, along with our entire team,” said the proud winners Mick, Teiba, Vladyslav, Sofia, Noah, Finn-Luce and Thobe. Their joy was obvious at the awards ceremony on Friday when they accepted the trophy, which was presented by “logo!” (ZDF) with Linda Fuhrich was presented.
Prize money for new projects
The prize money of 500 euros associated with the Kika Award will be invested in new projects in order to further expand the commitment of the “Savior Hearts”. “The trophy with the K will have a special place in our showcase,” the winners proudly assure.
