Homeland images in Stade: The art of Dieter-Theodor Bohlmann celebrated!

A celebration of art and home! The Stade Art Association presents the exciting exhibition “Heimatbilder” by the revered artist Dieter-Theodor Bohlmann. A dazzling spectacle that focuses on the Hanseatic city of Stade and the picturesque Altes Land! Bohlmann, a veteran of the association since its founding in October 1989, sets an artistic monument with his drawings - and reminds us of his important contributions as first chairman. The ceremonial opening will take place on Sunday, November 3rd, at 11 a.m. at Kunstpunkt Schleusenhaus, Altländer Straße 2.

Dieter-Theodor Bohlmann, born in Bremervörde in 1937, dedicated his entire life to art and teaching. From his apprenticeship as a carpenter to his work as a trades teacher, his diverse interests form the foundation of his work. This captivating exhibition features hand-colored prints that capture the beauty of Stade and its surroundings. Particularly impressive exhibits from his thesis on baroque hall cupboards - a real feast for the eyes - are also on display and can be admired!

The exhibition runs from November 3rd to 24th, 2024. Admission? Free! An experience that should definitely not be missed. The new opening times are from Wednesday to Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the Kunstpunkt Schleusenhaus.
