Future of Health Management: Focus in Hameln!
Obernkirchen / Hameln. At this year's "Live better." (HSW) was organized, around 110 participants discussed the future of occupational health management (BGM). The event took place in the Hamelner event house "Zedita" and was a complete success. Jörg Nielaczny, the chairman of the BKK24, emphasized the urgency of the topic: "It is about the future viability of the German health system." He warned that the costs would continue to increase without a focus on prevention without improving the quality of care.
Current statistics show the explosive location: The average number of days of illness per employee rose from 12.6 days in 2008 to an alarming 22.6 days in 2022. Prof. Dr. Peter Schulte, co-host of the conference, emphasized the need for a systematic BGM in order to counteract this worrying development. "We can only hope to be all the little cogs in a gear that ensures that this steep curve moves down again," said Schulte.
sustainability and digitization in the BGM
Dr. Anne Hübner, specialist and member of Allianz climate change and health (smart), highlighted how companies can integrate BGM into their sustainability strategies. She explained that a climate -friendly way of life benefits not only the environment, but also the health of the employees. She also recommended creative approaches, such as surveys to accept organic meals in the canteen. Prof. Dr. Nadine Pieck spoke about the challenges of digitization in the work environment and emphasized the need not to lose sight of the social and health needs of the employees. "Digitization processes often strengthen life," she warned and demanded more participation of the employees.
In an exciting panel discussion, experts shared their "Best Practice" approaches. Garnet Boehnke, occupational health manager, emphasized the importance of the staff as a success factor and not just as a cost factor. Dr. Margit Emmerich observed a change in generation because young people are increasingly interested in health measures that are now also digitally accessible. Ina Pannicke presented successful digital BGM solutions for regionally active companies.
