Military maneuvers in Lower Saxony: Bundeswehr convoys cause traffic jams!
Red alert in Lower Saxony! Today a huge military machine is rolling through northern Germany. Several Bundeswehr convoys are on the roads, and for good reason: a large-scale maneuver is imminent! The military vehicles not only cross Lower Saxony, but also Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.
The Bundeswehr's Territorial Command has announced the details: The exercise begins today in the Nienburg area, with convoys traveling up to 400 kilometers from Stadum in Schleswig-Holstein to Lower Saxony. Over 100 vehicles will be on the roads in several groups at different times. Important to know: The city of Nienburg remains unaffected by the activities, while the district of Nienburg is the focus of the exercises.
Parallel trip to Bavaria
But that's not all! Another military convoy is making its way from Seedorf in the Rotenburg district to Wildflecken in Bavaria. Here too, more than 100 vehicles are involved, divided into several groups and covering a distance of around 450 kilometers. The Bundeswehr is showing off its muscles and testing the mobility of its troops!
Be careful on the roads!
The convoys' routes mainly run along motorways and federal highways. The Bundeswehr warns: The marching columns can be up to two kilometers long and move quite slowly. Road users are asked to be particularly attentive and to keep a sufficient distance. For safety reasons, it is advisable not to drive between military vehicles. These exercises are crucial for the training of soldiers and serve to maintain operational readiness. A spectacle that no one should miss!
