Three years in prison for cannabis cultivation: judgment in Lüneburg!
In a remarkable process at the Lüneburg district court, a 25-year-old man from the Uelzen district was sentenced to a draconian prison sentence of three years on Friday. This decision follows his participation in the gang cultivation and the spread of cannabis in Wichmannsburg, where the group of perpetrators produced over 25 kilograms of illegal substance and is said to have made more than 100,000 euros profit. Movement in the matter brought a judicial examination of the gang's membership structure, which carried out its illegal activities in a residential building between March 2020 and November 2022.

The case came to light when the police made a remarkable discovery when the accused was searched: in an inconspicuous corner of the basement, a bucket was found with around 150 grams of cannabis. In addition, 3,250 euros of cash were secured, a clear sign of criminal machinations. Chief Prosecutor Kolja Christoph spoke of a "salami tactic", according to which the defendant only revealed information in a slope, which was considerably undermined his credibility status. Despite an initial arrest warrant and a temporary release, the accused now stays on the way to the correctional facility, where he has to work on his lifestyle.
The defender Myrsini Laaser went out of patience during the procedure when she accused the chief prosecutor of handing over unfair negative ratings on supposed confessions of the accused. The young man, however, practiced in reflection and described his past and influence behind closed doors that brought him into trouble. The outcome of this sensational process shows unequivocally: there is no mercy in the world of drug trafficking, and the judiciary draws clear limits.
