Holzminden Christmas market: a festival of lights and delights!

Holzminden, Deutschland - Holzminden stands in the starting blocks for the most festive event of the year! The Holzminden Christmas market opens its gates from Monday, November 25th to Sunday, January 5th, and promises a real winter wonderland. Sparks spraying lights, lovingly designed huts and the seductive fragrance of mulled wine and roasted almonds move locals and visitors into the magical atmosphere of the festively decorated marketplace.

"A very special highlight in the region!" Volkmar Stanoschek, Managing Director of the Stadtmarketing Holzminden. The Christmas market not only offers well -known delicacies, but also exciting new culinary offers. Matthias Kumlehn, organizer of the market, announces: "This year we are presenting new products that have never existed!" These include the delicious Thuringian rust sausages and Hungarian Lángos. A natural ice rink is built for the young and old visitors, which inspires with a spectacular show program from the figure skating departments of the EC Hannover Indians and DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

The supporting program is enriched this year by a permanently installed stage that remains over the entire duration of the market. Inga Schaper, event manager of the Stadtmarketing Holzminden, invites everyone to actively participate: "Whether children's demonstrations or poems - everyone is welcome!" In addition, a “club hut” will give local groups the opportunity to present themselves and their activities. The highlight of the sporting events is the ice stock cup, which takes place from December 27th to 29th. Registrations are already possible!
