Holzminden Christmas Market: A festival of lights and delights!

Holzminden is in the starting blocks for the most festive event of the year! The Holzminden Christmas market opens its doors from Monday, November 25th to Sunday, January 5th and promises a true winter wonderland. Sparkling lights, lovingly designed huts and the seductive scent of mulled wine and roasted almonds draw locals and visitors into the magical atmosphere of the festively decorated market square.

“A very special highlight in the region!” enthuses Volkmar Stanoschek, Managing Director of Stadtmarketing Holzminden. The Christmas market not only offers well-known delicacies, but also exciting new culinary offerings. Matthias Kumlehn, organizer of the market, announces: “This year we are presenting new products that have never been seen before!” These include, among other things, the delicious Thuringian grilled sausages and Hungarian lángos. A natural ice rink will be set up for young and old visitors, which will delight visitors with a spectacular show program from the figure skating departments of the EC Hannover Indians and DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

A feast for the senses

This year, the supporting program will be enriched by a permanently installed stage that will remain in place for the entire duration of the market. Inga Schaper, event manager at Stadtmarketing Holzminden, invites everyone to actively participate: “Whether children’s performances or poems – everyone is welcome!” In addition, a “club hut” will give local groups the opportunity to present themselves and their activities. The highlight of the sporting event is the curling cup, which takes place from December 27th to 29th. Registrations are already possible!
