Gifhorn. The Christmas magic is back! From November 27th to December 23rd, the Gifhorner city center turns into a festive winter wonderland that inspires visitors with a colorful program and delicious treats. The pedestrian zone becomes the scene of an unforgettable Christmas market from the Ceka fountain to Rathausstraße, which has something to offer for the whole family.

The Christmas market in Gifhorn attracts with festively decorated stands that offer handmade gifts and culinary delights. A varied program awaits visitors every day, which includes Advent wreath bandages, puppet theater, a trombone choir and even a wintry fire show. Here the anticipation is very important to the festival! The little guests can look forward to exciting children's actions, while the big ones relax with a mulled wine.

A highlight of the market is the "good booth", where local clubs and artists present their creative works and offer special promotions. Here visitors can not only enjoy Christmas delicacies, but also acquire handmade gifts. The "Christmas hut" invites you to handle and offers a cozy place for snacks and drinks.

The opening ceremony will be a musical festival with several choirs, including the Singkreis Osloß and the Gifhorner youth choir. On December 14th, an Advent singing with nine choirs will take place, and the children can throw in their letters to Santa Claus into the special mailbox - the city provides transport to the Christmas post office in Himmelsthür. On Mondays there are family afternoons with discounted prices, on Thursdays a happy hour at the mulled wine stand and on Fridays X-MAS parties with DJs. Another highlight is the historic ferris wheel that ensures fun with young and old!

The Christmas market is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with special events until 10 p.m. And for all collectors this year there is the original Gifhorner Christmas market cups at all supply stands for the first time - a must for every visitor!
