Groß Oesingen/Teichgut.On Wednesday morning, November 6th, a serious traffic accident occurred on district road 4 between Teichgut and Groß Oesingen, which heated up emotions. At 7 a.m. there was a dramatic collision when a 45-year-old driver was driving his Volvo XC 90 towards Groß Oesingen and a Volkswagen T-Cross suddenly appeared in his lane. The 50-year-old driver of the T-Cross, whose reasons for leaving the road are still unclear, caused a stir.
Shocking moment: VW T-Cross overturns!
Despite the Volvo driver's attempts to get out of the way in time, the inevitable impact occurred on the side front areas of both vehicles. The force of the impact catapulted the Volkswagen off the road, where it hit a tree at full force and finally came to rest on its roof. The accident left not only material damage - both vehicles were totaled - but also seriously injured drivers. The 45-year-old was taken to the Wittingen Clinic with serious injuries, while the other person in the accident had to be transported to the Gifhorn Clinic with life-threatening injuries.
First aider in shock – vehicle slightly damaged!
The scene of chaos required a rapid response. The police, emergency services and the volunteer fire department were alerted. Meanwhile, a first responder arrived at the scene of the accident only to drive over a broken vehicle part, causing minor damage to his Skoda Fabia. The county road was closed in both directions during the investigation and rescue work, which only underlined the drama of what happened.
