Jens Gerth, a passionate enthusiast from Schortens, has opened his spectacular creepy house, which has been attracting onlookers for over 13 years. Ghostly creatures in eerie scenarios live under his roof and transform the place into a Halloween-Wunderland. From grim zombies that speak with distorted voices, to terrible dolls on a swing - Gerth's creepy is the nightmare for every test of courage!
The 58-year-old Gerth, who discovered his love for the eerie during a three-year stay in the United States, has not spared himself to dig deep into his pockets to increase his fearsome collection. "The American Halloween culture grabbed me!" Enthusias. From huge pumpkin mills to lifelike witches - he has everything. He pays special attention to the electrical figures that flourish in eerily gloss, especially in the dark when red and orange lights reinforce the dark atmosphere.
The special scary experience
What makes Gerth's scary house so distinctive? "Most people may decorate Halloween with a few pumpkins," he explains. "I, on the other hand, have an entire arsenal of eerie attractions." In addition to the "normal" figures, most of them are movable their impressive skeletons and witches, they address passers -by and ensure an unforgettable experience. There is nothing boring here! From a creepy chain dog with red glowing eyes to singing dolls - the shower mood is guaranteed!
All of this has its price! Gerth does not give exactly how much he has invested in his creepy collection, but he reveals: "An electronic figure costs between 300 and 600 euros." Anyone who thinks that all of this is just an expensive hobby is huge - there are probably several vacations or the value of a small car in this collection!
