Diepholz, Deutschland - A radiant star in the sky: Michael Plaßmeier from Diepholz made it! The 22-year-old was named the best plant mechanic of his year by the Hanover Chamber of Crafts. This award is not only a personal triumph, but also a reason for joy for his father Frank Plaßmeier, who has already trained many trainees in his company "Frank Plaßmeier Heizung - Sanitary", but never a chamber winner. The father's pride could not be greater!

Michael, who completed his training in his parents' company, emphasizes that he never felt that he was under pressure. "I saw all of this very easily," he says. However, the ambition was unmistakable. With a final grade of 87 percent, he not only successfully mastered his training, but also received the chamber winning ceremony. "I didn't work on that," he admits modestly while his father is surprised by this success.

Another step on the career ladder

The award ceremony took place in the GOP Hannover, where Michael could not be present personally. But the chamber victory opened the doors to the state decision, where he was allowed to compete against six other chamber winners from Lower Saxony and Bremen in a practical competition. The challenge: a precise pipe installation with electrical engineering. "The more precise, the better. You move in the millimeter range," explains the talented craftsman. In the end he reached second place and is proud of his performance, even if he regrets not having come to the federal decision.

Frank Plaßmeier is enthusiastic about the development of his son and emphasizes the importance of motivation, teamwork and the courage to make mistakes. "Errors are allowed, even desired," he says. Michael Plaßmeier has united all of these properties and shows that great successes are possible with passion and commitment.
