Advent Creativ: A market full of surprises for good purposes!

Louisenstraße 22, 27753 Delmenhorst, Deutschland - The anticipation for the first Advent on December 1st increases! At the weekend, November 16 and 17, the popular “Advent Creativ” market opens its doors in the St. Marien parish hall in Delmenhorst. Here, visitors to Louisenstraße 22, directly opposite the church, can immerse themselves in a world full of creative Christmas presents. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the organizers, led by Ulla Kummer, can expect up to 800 guests who can look forward to a wide range - from handmade jams to colorful jewelry to recycled Christmas decor.

a festival of creativity and diversity

The team of Ulla Kummer, consisting of 25 committed volunteers, has not spared any effort to set up this market. "The tension is big every time," admits Kummer. Each article is carefully labeled and the quality is very important - the helpers have invested seven hours for this. The traditional cookies and gingerbreads that have been attracting visitors for years are particularly popular. "These are things that visitors fall on it," says Kummer enthusiastically.

Another highlight are the homemade jams and the fresh floral arrangements that the buyers captivate. The organization team relies on fair prices to give people with a small wallet. For the small hunger in between, there is a selection of 80 homemade cakes that invite you to linger. A striking feature of the market is the only cash register that ensures a different process. "That also means that snakes can form," explains Kummer, but the well -rehearsed team ensures a quick process.

a market with heart for good purposes

The proceeds of the market do not flow into its own pockets, but supports important aid projects. In the past, school construction in Togo and the support of Ukrainian refugees in Delmenhorst were funded. This year, the revenue to projects in Brazil and India will go to the formation of children as well as to the support group of the Delmenhorster Kindergarten St. Polykarp and the Laurentius Hospice in Falkenburg. Over 100,000 euros have been collected in the past 14 years - an impressive sign of solidarity!
