Karl's adventure village is expanding: two new locations for Lower Saxony!
Braunschweig. The success story of Karl's adventure village continues. In the spring of 2025, a new location in Loxstedt, directly at Bremerhaven. However, this is only the beginning, because the company's expansion plans are even more ambitious.
Robert Dahl, the managing director of Karl's adventure village, set the next big vision in motion. The strategic decision provides for building another experience village in the picturesque Lüneburg Heath from 2027. The construction at Bispingen is planned, where the work is to begin in 2026. This step could significantly increase the attractiveness of the Region for families and tourists.
Expansion in the next few years
The plans of Karl's adventure village not only limit themselves to the new locations in Lower Saxony. According to a report by the "Leipziger Volkszeitung", the company is ambitious to open a total of 13 other adventure villages by 2035. In addition to Loxstedt and Bispingen, a settlement in the Harz is also being discussed. Cities like Ilsenburg and Wernigerode are on the list of possible locations. An early decision on the development in West Saxony-Anhalt will be expected this year.
Before there have been considerations to open a location in Wolfsburg, but these plans have now been given up. The strategic orientation of the company shows that Karl's adventure village not only wants to be a leisure activities, but also an economic factor for the regions.
The adventure villages are more than just amusement parks. They combine various attractions for children with culinary offers and accommodation in comparatively small space. For example, the original village in Rövershagen, which includes only 4.5 hectares, occupies the record with over 80 attractions. The company also processes huge amounts of strawberries from extensive fields, which represents an additional business area.
The latest adventure village was opened in Central Saxony, and there are already three other locations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and one in Brandenburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Dahl has given the goal that the journey to an adventure village should not take longer than an hour from every point in Germany. This vision could further increase the brand awareness of Karl's adventure village and increase the visitor volume in the individual villages.
