Microdrama Revolution: Hangzhou Linping sets new standards!

The second microdrama conference took place in Hangzhou, East China from November 5th to 7th and caused a stir! Experts, industry leaders and business representatives gathered in Linping District to shape the future of the microdrama industry. The big topic? The sustainable and high-quality development in the rapidly growing world of microdramas!

The industry is in transition - Luo Jianhui, vice president of the China Netcasting Services Association (CNSA), emphasized that despite technical advances through artificial intelligence, the emotional element remains at the heart of every microdrama. This new art form has developed rapidly and is now going from “wild growth” to a quality offensive that even conveys Chinese culture to the world!

Innovations and quality in focus

According to a white paper released during the conference, the microdrama industry has transformed into version 2.0 - an era that emphasizes innovation and a strong digital presence. The China Federation of Radio and Television Associations (CFRTA) also launched a new index assessing the distribution and application of microdramas to boost innovation in the field.

Linping has established itself as a leading base for microdramas. Chen Guangsheng, head of the Cultural Department of Zhejiang Province, explained that by looking at big issues from small perspectives and developing cultural tourism through micro-productions, the potential for high-quality growth is enormous! In the future, Linping wants to build industry clusters, promote companies and develop brands to become a hotspot for the cultural and audiovisual industry.
