Bad Grönenbach, Deutschland - Memmingen (dpa/lby)- A terrifying animal welfare scandal shocks the Allgäu region! From Wednesday, 9 a.m., three farmers will have to answer to the Memmingen district court, who are said to have massively violated the Animal Welfare Act in a total of 32 cases. The indictment makes serious allegations: the men, a father and his two sons are said to have deliberately neglected and suffer their cattle, only to save the costs of veterinary treatments.

The cruel balance: Half of the animals affected had to be put to sleep, some were already died when the shocking grievances came to light. This family, which runs their farm in Unterallgäu, is not on trial for the first time - further proof of the profound problems in animal husbandry.

A shaking video of the animal welfare organization "SOKO Tierschutz" from 2019 showed the shocking pictures of the cruelty to animals that got the case rolling. The publication on July 9, 2019 led to extensive investigations against several courtyards, some of which have already been convicted.

For the current process, 20 days of negotiations are scheduled, and a judgment could already be made at the end of February. The eyes of the public are directed towards this case - it remains to be seen whether justice is achieved for the suffering animals!
