Züssow. The trip to Usedom could be a pleasure, but the train station in Züssow turns switching into a real adventure-and not in a positive sense! Travelers are frustrated: rain? No roof! Sun? Hardly shadow! And where is the kiosk for a quick snack? The symptoms are loud and clear, and they are piling up on the Internet and waiting for the next train.

Passenger Martin Braun sums it up: "The entire environment does not look inviting. A crumbled warehouse building and meter-high scrub-this is not a figurehead for Usedom!" A gastronomic option would also be desirable. The criticism is followed by the voices of other travelers who complain about the lack of equipment. Anita Konerow realizes that it is strange to switch in a small village, even if the platform itself looks well -groomed. "After all, there are two closed waiting houses," she says, but the travelers want more.

Missing amenities and unclear signs

The Deutsche Bahn built two waiting houses in 2021, but the travelers demand more: "A roof over the entire platform would be appropriate," says Gabriele Beier. The railway made the decision to have a change here, so a better experience should also be ensured. There are also reports that many passengers cannot find the toilet facility - it is poorly visible from the platform, as commuter Konstantin Melchert observed. "Often passengers ask me about it," he complains.

In the meantime, the future of the neglected warehouse building remains uncertain. However, Mayor Marian Schoknecht has good news: the building was sold and there are plans for a car workshop in the works to upgrade the area. Deutsche Bahn is open to suggestions, but the complaints about Züssow train station get stuck in the air. The transfer times are customer -friendly, but the travelers urgently want improvements!
