Marc Marquez celebrated a dramatic victory in the Sprint of the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring on July 12, 2025. Despite rainy conditions and a poor start that saw him drop to fifth place after the first corner, the Honda rider fought back and overtook Marco Bezzecchi at the last moment. This was Marquez's tenth sprint win from eleven races this year, his only defeat coming at the British Grand Prix in May. With this triumph he further extended his lead in the championship over his brother Alex, who is driving due to a hand injury.
Bezzecchi, who led the first two laps, ultimately had to settle for second place. Fabio Quartararo rounded out the podium in third, while Fabio Di Giannantonio and Jack Miller took fourth and fifth. Serious accident involving Franco Morbidelli
