A dramatic accident has paralyzed the B4 in the Sondershausen district of Neuheide (Kyffhäuserkreis)! On Wednesday morning around 10 a.m., a truck driver, despite a clear overtaking ban, raced into the left-hand bend and lost control of his vehicle. The disastrous result? The truck crashed through a property and destroyed a carport, a gas tank and another vehicle!

The truck driver, who was slightly injured in the incident, had to be taken to hospital. The police estimate the total damage at over 100,000 euros! But that wasn't all: the explosion of a gas tank hovered over the scene like the sword of Damocles. The fire brigade and experts were immediately alerted to assess the danger situation. What exactly was in the tank remains unclear, but the vehicle also leaked dangerous fluids!
