Lübeck, Deutschland - in Lübeck took place today of Stadtwerke Lübeck Marathon, in which around 6,000 athletes took part. This event not only attracts passionate runners, but also numerous spectators who admired the route along the picturesque city. The top performance this year was provided by the Dutch Mees de Ridder, who won the supreme discipline. He ran right in front of the local hero Simon Müller from Kronshagen via the finish line. However, Müller was also happy to be happy, because his girlfriend Svea Timm ran her first marathon debut and was the fastest woman in the field. A very special aspect of today's marathon was the benefit run, where around 700 people were registered. The proceeds of this event go directly to the UKSH cancer center, which combines the sporty character with a social commitment.
