District road near Gomaringen open again – remaining work until November 8th!

The road opening between Gomaringen and Immenhausen brings relief for drivers! Since Thursday, October 31, 2024, the K 6903 has been accessible again after extensive renovation work. But be careful: some restrictions may still occur.

The renovation was urgently needed! The K 6903 was affected by numerous network tears and dangerous damage such as dents and worn road edges. The district office informed that the damaged road surface had been removed and replaced with a 4 cm thick asphalt surface layer. In some areas, the asphalt base layer even had to be replaced to ensure the safety of the road.

The Tübingen district bears the total costs

The damaged shoulders that accompanied the road were also repaired. These were reinforced with a special cement mixture so that they are now load-bearing and stable. This is intended to minimize future maintenance costs for the road service. The total costs of the construction work amount to around 420,000 euros, which will be borne by the Tübingen district.

But the work is not quite finished yet! Remaining work will take place on the edge of the district road from November 4th to November 8th, 2024. In some cases there may be smaller work areas with partial closures and light signal control. However, most of the work will be carried out without significant disruption to traffic. So stay alert on the road!
