Cold days in Frankfurt (Oder): Stadtwerke interrupt heat supply!
A cold shock for hundreds of households in Frankfurt (Oder)! Due to a serious damage to the district heating network, the municipal utilities have to park the heating and the warm water for several days. The customers concerned have to prepare for frosty nights!
On November 19 and 20, the heat supply will be interrupted in parts of the city. The municipal utilities have announced that the repair work on the pipes that were already damaged in summer are finally being carried out. Antje Bodsch, the spokeswoman for the Stadtwerke, explains that the work in the Red Chapel is necessary to integrate the new pipes into the network. "We make a lot of effort into keeping the interruptions on both days as short as possible," she assures while the temperatures are falling.
