Young Afghan attacks petrol stations: four years in prison for raids!
A 22-year-old Afghan was sentenced to a prison sentence of four years and nine months by the Ravensburg district court. Between March and May this year, the young man attacked four petrol stations in Amtzell, Wangen, Aichstetten and Aulendorf and stood up for everything. The public prosecutor demanded a harder punishment of six years and two months, while the defense applied for a milder punishment of four years.
Masked with a deceptively real looking firearm, the accused stated the petrol stations. In three of the four raids, he asked the cashiers to hand over the money and captured a total of around 5000 euros. He was less lucky in Aulendorf: the cash register clamped there and he had to be satisfied with two poles cigarettes and a can tobacco.
A tragic case
The chamber chair Claudia Denfeld spoke of a certain tragedy in this case. The defendant had a regulated life with an apartment, school leaving certificate and training in front of his actions. But depression that he did not treat led to a descent. The fear of losing his apartment drove him to the raids he saw as the only way out.
His confession was recognized as remarkable because he took responsibility right from the start. Nevertheless, his deeds did not remain without consequences: the masked raids with a real pistol led to a sensitive imprisonment. In his last words, the 22-year-old expressed remorse and explained: "I was young and stupid"-a sentence that underlines the tragedy of his Situation.
