Wiesbaden starts e-bike sharing: 60 bikes available now!
From November 7, 2024, Wiesbaden will become a hotspot for e-bike enthusiasts! The Bolt company, known for its e-treads, brings 60 brand new e-bikes to the city. And that's just the beginning! In the coming weeks, the fleet should grow to up to 200 e-bikes. These electrical bicycles reach speeds of up to 25 km/h and are therefore faster than the popular e-trollers. Equipped with a practical basket, you are perfect for purchasing or an excursion through the city!
flexible use and cheap prices
The rental prices for the e-bikes are expected to be cheaper than those for the e-treads. To rent the e-bikes, users need the Bolt app that is already used for the e-treads. However, there is initially only a fixed storage area at Wiesbaden Central Station, between Bussteig A and the Lili shopping center. Otherwise, the e -bikes may be parked in the so -called "FreeFoating", which means that they can be parked in public bicycle stands and parking spaces.
The city of Wiesbaden has worked closely with Bolt and reserves the right to take measures regulating in the event of an increase in complaints, similar to the e-scooters. And that's not all! For 2025, the e-troller provider Animal has also announced that it will expand its offer in Wiesbaden by a comparable number of e-bikes. The future of urban mobility in Wiesbaden looks promising!
