Rabbit, moon and art: Discover the magic in Museum Wiesbaden!

A very special Saturday is coming! On November 2nd, the Wiesbaden Museum opens its doors for an unforgettable experience that takes visitors into the fascinating world of African culture. The exhibition “Hare and Moon – of fairy tales and immortality” takes guests on a journey through time, starting with the profound fairy tale of the rabbit. Here the hare is seen not only as a messenger of immortality, but also as a symbol of transience. The stories of people and nature that are passed down in many communities show the constant transformation of the world around us.

Interactive experiences for the whole family

A colorful program awaits young and old from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.! The museum wagons invite you to explore touchable natural objects. Young artists can let their creativity run wild at the painting table and capture their impressions of nature in their own works of art. The Fasanerie Wiesbaden also provides additional fun with wooden amulets that little visitors can design. A day full of creativity and discovery for the whole family!

Insights into modern art

There is a special highlight for adults at 3:00 p.m.: the scenic tour “What’s that supposed to mean?” illuminates modern and contemporary art in an entertaining way. Museum guides interpret well-known works and provide exciting insights. Guests can also design their own zines and experience the world of performance art up close in the FLUX zine workshop for the Alison Knowles retrospective. The new MuWi app will also be presented to interactively discover the permanent exhibition “Aesthetics of Nature”. Tours for families take place at 12:00 and 12:45 p.m. - it's worth being quick as places are limited!
