Young photographers conquer Karben: Creativity in the photo club unfolds!

In the heart of Karben, creativity blooms! The photo club Karben has launched an exciting youth group that learns everything about the art of photography once a month under the guidance of passionate Alexander Lucas. Not only snacks here, but also deep into the theory-from exposure time to ISO value. The young talents are enthusiastic and ready to sharpen their skills!

With cameras in hand, the young people plunge into the adventure photography. Lunis, only 12 years old, and 16-year-old Anna are part of this dynamic group. While Lunis snaps straight away, Anna analyzes her last recordings and discovers why they are too dark. "Understanding the basics is totally helpful," says Anna, showing how seriously the young photographers approach the matter. The monthly meetings are not only theory, but also exciting practical exercises, such as the exciting "water drop exercise", in which the perfect moment of splashing must be recorded.

a new way for young photographers

The idea for the youth group came from a cooperation with the association "Petterweiler Kids". Rainer Wagner, deputy chairman of the photo club, emphasizes the importance of inspiring young people for photography. "Young talent is the be -all and end -all," he explains and is pleased that four of the five active members have joined the group through the project. At a time when many clubs are fighting for new members, this success is a real coup!

The young photographers are determined to develop their skills further. You no longer take pictures with your cell phone, but rely on the possibilities of your cameras. "With the camera you simply think more consciously about every picture," says Pauline, and that shows how serious you take your hobby. From January 10, 2025, your works will be exhibited in the Karben community center - an exciting first step into the world of photography!
