Pharmacy death in Vogelsberg: Criticism of Lauterbach's reform plans!
Alsfeld, Deutschland - The die of pharmacy in Germany achieves alarming dimensions! 86 pharmacies in Hesse have had to close in the past two years, and the situation in Vogelsbergkreis is also increasingly oppressive. The overarching question: Will a reform of Health Minister Karl Lauterbach still be able to tear the helm around? Pharmacists on site are skeptical and have big concerns!
The Vogelsbergkreis currently only has 23 pharmacies for a population of 100,000 people. Despite an overhang compared to the Hessian average, this does not hide the fundamental problem: only 1.92 pharmacies come here on 100 square kilometers, while the Hessian average is 6.29. Longer ways to the doctor and the pharmacy are already a sad reality for the citizens.
a reform attempt that is already criticized
The proposed reform sounds helpful at first glance, but the pharmacists agree: it will bring more damage than benefits. Despite increasing costs, the remuneration of the pharmacists is hardly adapted by inflation, rents and wages, so that the financial framework conditions are becoming worse. Christian Gerninghaus, owner of several pharmacies, warns: "That is at least 33 percent less sales! The reform is a scandal!" Instead of offering solutions, they could still accelerate the die of pharmacy.
Many pharmacists are also faced with a follow -up problem. Every third owner in Vogelsbergkreis is over 60 and the replenishment of new pharmacists is currently lean. The high bureaucratic effort and the unequal market situation through online pharmacies contribute to uncertainty. Gerninghaus notes: "We become second -class pharmacies!" What remains is the oppressive uncertainty about the future of the pharmacies in Vogelsberg. Politics must finally show the appreciation that the pharmacists are entitled to - because many already see black for their sector!
