Stadtallendorf: Northeast industrial area finally gets bus connections!
Stadtallendorf. A new chapter for the Nordost industrial area! Here, where companies like McDonald’s and the technology center of the FRITZ Winter iron foundry are flourishing, there is finally hope for a direct bus connection. So far, commuters have had to accept a tedious detour to get to their jobs. But that could change soon!
The city administration presented the plans for a new bus line that is supposed to connect the industrial area directly to the city bus network. Line 91 could soon start the stop near the McDonald’s and thus facilitate access for the numerous employees. The Wendehammer at the technology center is also integrated into the route, which is considerably simplified.
Financial considerations
But the plans are not without costs! The city would cost a detailed bus connection around 63,000 euros more, while the shorter variant costs 23,500 euros. Stadtallendorf is currently participating in the RNV for city bus traffic with 125,000 euros. The decision on the new connection should be made in December and if everything goes according to plan, the bus connection could become a reality in March 2025. That would not only be a profit for the commuters, but also an important development for the commercial area, which has developed rapidly since it was founded after the 2010 Hessentag.
