Digital future for the Main-Kinzig district: trainee campus as a solution!

in Bad Soden-Salmünster, companies in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis face major challenges, especially in the context of digitization and the lack of specialists. Maxworx GmbH, an IT service company established for 25 years, is dedicated to these topics and offers tailor-made solutions.

First district member Andreas Hofmann visited the company founders Holger and Ralph Göbel on the occasion to celebrate the anniversary of Maxworx GmbH. The conversations dealt with the digitization of processes and the challenges that occur. The focus was particularly on the increasing need for skilled workers, which is to be addressed by the planned trainee campus project of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis.

trainee campus: a step to combat the shortage of skilled workers

The trainee campus, which is built in a lens court, aims to create an attractive range of housing for trainees. A total of 100 single and 50 double rooms are created there to offer adequate care in particular young people who are often still minor. "We want to promote both the trainees and the domestic economy," said Hofmann, emphasizing the need for strong networking between vocational schools and training companies.

The managing directors of Maxworx expressed great interest in this project. "We offer six to eight apprenticeships every year and work closely with local schools. The trainee campus enables us to also win nationwide training forces and, in the best case, to keep here in the region," said Holger Göbel with a view to the course that must currently be set for the future of the company.

The problem of impending shortage of skilled workers is reinforced by demographic development in the region. It is estimated that between 12,000 and 13,000 workers subject to social security contributions will leave working life by 2030. As a result, the pressure on companies to attract and keep specialists is enormous. "It is essential that companies recognize savings potential, not by simply reducing places, but rather by efficiently using the existing resources. Digitization and the use of artificial intelligence offer valuable approaches," says Holger Göbel.

Ralph Göbel emphasized that digitization not only affects the interaction with the public, but also internal administrative processes can be optimized. "It's more than just online forms; it is a comprehensive transformation of IT processes," he said. Maxworx GmbH positions itself as a partner for companies that traditionally work with manual and often inefficient IT methods. "We are ready to support these companies and help them fully exploit the advantages of digitization," added Ralph.

Hofmann also underlined that in the future, human commitment will continue to be necessary in the future when dealing with applications and measures. "Digitization brings new opportunities, but it also brings challenges, especially when dealing with sensitive data," he said.

Overall, the participants were convinced that the upcoming changes for both domestic companies as well as for the administrative perspective could have opportunities that need to be used. The intensified intensification of the technical exchange will help to address the efforts to take the trainees around the trainee campus and the shortage of skilled workers.
