Digital civil services in Fulda: Living registration and students now online!

In the city of Fulda, the citizens' office has made significant progress in digitization by now offering the procedures for the residence registration and applying for the students online. This new digital option aims to make life considerably easier for the citizens, especially young people and students.

From August 1, 2024, it is now possible to easily register the place of residence from home. This innovation means that the passage to the office is eliminated and the necessary data can be entered online with just a few clicks. The switch to digital processes is regarded as a reaction to the growing need for more efficiency in the administration.

In addition to the residence registration, the process for applying for the popular student euro is also digitized. The student euro is a financial support of 100 euros that will be paid to all students who start their studies in Fulda and at the same time register their main residence. This measure is intended to help the students to integrate more easily in the city.

For trainees who also live in Fulda, there is the opportunity to apply for the so-called "trainee euro", whereby online application has been available here for a long time. These digital developments aim to simplify the necessary steps for the citizens and to make the administration more accessible.

With these new offers, the citizens' office would like to reduce the authorities to a minimum and make it easier for people to access important administrative processes. All necessary information about the online services can be found on the website of the citizens' office at Buergerbuero.fulda.de

For further questions or information, the citizens can contact the citizens' office by phone at (0661) 102-1111 or by email at buergerbuero@fulda.de. This step towards digitization is considered by default as positive progress for the city and its inhabitants.
