Terrible accident in Hamburg: truck collides with ICE - a dead man!

In a tragic accident in Hamburg, a collision between an ICE and a tractorizer occurred on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred in the south of the city, near Harburg, when the tractor -trailer tried to cross a level crossing while the barriers closed. Unfortunately, a 55-year-old man died of the consequences of internal injuries that he suffered in this accident. A total of 16 other people were injured, while 269 passengers of the train remained unharmed, such as OE24 reported.

The ICE was occupied with almost 300 passengers at this point. The train driver tried to react through full braking, but it was unsuccessful. Eyewitnesses reported a dramatic scenario in which the truck driver jumped out of his vehicle at the last second. The tractor -trailer belonged to a rail manufacturer and protruded to the tracks at the time of impact, which the collision triggered by train.
