Multimedia performance in Trossingen: Art meets existence!

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, the “Hunger and Thirst” event will take place at 6 p.m. in the concert hall of the Trossinger University of Music. More than 30 students are expected at this multimedia performance, who will present creative content in cooperation with the Tanzbühne Villingen.

The topics of the event illuminate existential and multifaceted aspects of “hunger and thirst”. The program covers a wide range of content, including composed and improvised live music, dance choreographies and image and video productions. A special highlight will be the staged opera fragment by the Romanian composer Violeta Dinescu. The artistic direction is in the hands of Prof. Dr. Dierk Zaiser and Milena Hiessl, and entry to the event is free.

Cooperation and artistic context

The collaboration with the Tanzbühne Villingen is a premiere that brings additional creative dimensions to the event. The large number of people involved and the different forms of artistic expression create a unique experience that illuminates the topics from different perspectives.

Such interdisciplinary projects are of great importance in today's cultural scene in order to reach audiences and give them a deeper insight into relevant social issues. The performance will not only showcase the students' artistic talents, but also demonstrate the potential of art as a space for reflection on basic human needs.

Further information about the artistic career of the composer Violeta Dinescu can be found on the website of the Hamburg University of Music, where a comprehensive collection of her works is documented, ranging from instrumental music to innovative compositions as MUGI reported.
