New timetable in the Harburg district: public transport expansion brings more connections!

On December 15th there will be a significant timetable change in local public transport (ÖPNV) in the Harburg district, which will bring numerous improvements and expansions. This expansion, which the district administration is implementing in cooperation with the KVG and the passenger advisory board, is intended to offer additional connections on Sundays and in the evenings. This has now been officially announced as the Harburg district website reported.

The most significant changes affect various bus routes, including the 343 and 348, which will receive additional trips on weekends and in the evenings. Line 4207 will now also operate hourly on Sundays, while buses on line 4406 will increase their frequency to hourly on weekends. The night bus service is also being expanded: the buses leave at 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on weekend nights. Interested passengers can easily view the new timetables online kvg-bus.de View and find out about the changes.

Extended connections and flexible shuttle offerings

The new timetable not only offers improved connections, but also complements the existing local public transport with the elbMOBIL. This shuttle offers a more flexible connection between the various stops in the Elbmarsch and Winsen and is in use for passengers Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. With these innovations, the Harburg district is striving to make the bus network more attractive and reliable in order to better meet the needs of its citizens.

The adjustments are expected to mean that more passengers will use the public transport service and thus further strengthen mobility in the district. While anticipation of the new offering is increasing, it remains to be seen how the changes will work out in practice.
