Shoplifter uses pepper gas: eight injured in the Aldi store!

Wilstorf, November 19th, 2024 - A dramatic incident shook the Aldi market on Rönneburger Straße in the evening! A suspected shoplifter used pepper spray around 6 p.m., injuring eight people. The situation escalated when the thief was confronted by a store detective and, in a desperate attempt to escape, released the irritant gas, which quickly spread throughout the store.

There were around 20 to 25 customers and employees in the store at that moment. The consequences were frightening: eight people complained of respiratory irritation, while one person, the store detective, had to be taken to hospital with moderate injuries. The remaining affected people received medical help on site, but the panic was palpable!

The perpetrator's escape and police action

The suspected thief managed to escape after his cowardly attack and the police immediately launched a search in the area around the market. However, this has so far been unsuccessful. The investigation into dangerous bodily harm is in full swing and the police are urgently appealing for information from witnesses who can say something about the crime or the perpetrator.
