On site, the emergency services were presented with a shocking picture: two seriously injured young men, 20 and 21 years old, lying bleeding on the ground - one of them was not expected to survive that night. The neighboring footpath is closed, sniffer dogs roam the darkness, but the search remains in vain. 20-year-old Eldin B. had a tragic experience: when his friend asked him to accompany him to a meeting with other young men, the meeting soon turned into a fatal confrontation. Apparently it was Eldin's friend who triggered the escalation, which then culminated in the dramatic shots fired by the opposing group.
The mysterious background
But what drives people to commit such brutal acts? Speculation is rife: Was it about a dispute in the drug world, power struggles within criminal organizations or even feuding clans? Official statements remain sparse, the public prosecutor's office is keeping a low profile. The Hamburg police are urgently calling on witnesses to come forward, but so far the picture remains incomplete. Eldin's friend was also shot, and there is currently no information about his health.
Further incidents shake Hamburg
But it's not just Mümmelmannsberg that is plagued by gun violence. Police forces also had to be deployed in the Wilstorf district of Hamburg. In a bar they found two people with gunshot wounds who were immediately taken to the hospital. Like SAT.1 reported, it has not yet been possible to identify a suspect. Here too, the exact course of the crime remains unclear, as does the background to the crime. It seems as if the danger is omnipresent.
