Grönemeyer warns: Collective fears caused by war and pandemic!
Herbert Grönemeyer, the well-known singer and songwriter, speaks emphatically about the current social situation, which is heavily influenced by the after-effects of the corona pandemic. In an interview with the German Press Agency, the 68-year-old explained that many people feel post-traumatic stress and that collective fears are rising as a result of ongoing global conflicts and wars. He sharply criticized the fact that reactionary forces took advantage of people's insecurities to advance their agenda through incitement and misanthropy, which can be described as "vile", as was the case star reported.
Grönemeyer calls for a united and stable attitude from society, especially with a view to the upcoming federal elections. He appealed that despite possible vanity among politicians, the fundamental values of our humanistic society must be defended. The pressing issues that the new government must address include redistribution, affordable housing, climate protection, health and a humane and safe migration policy. In addition, Grönemeyer is currently working with the band Silbermond on a new recording of their song “Mein Osten”, which refers to the social tensions in Germany with a critical eye and also addresses the current challenges, as in oe24 is to be read.
