Burglary protection: How to protect your home from intruders!

The dark season not only brings coziness, but also an increased risk of home break-ins! As temperatures drop and the evenings get longer, the number of break-ins in residential buildings increases. Experts warn: Even if break-ins are usually rare when residents are present, it is crucial to prepare for an emergency!

The police and senior security advisors warn urgently: burglars are after valuables, but they shy away from physical confrontations. “Heroism often leads to dangerous situations,” emphasize the security experts. In the event of a break-in, it is important not to get into a confrontation! Instead, you should call 110 to get help quickly. Anyone who notices a burglar should never enter the house and instead observe from a safe distance.

Important rules of conduct

If there is visual contact with the perpetrator, a precise description of the person is invaluable to the police. If the burglars have already left the building, important details such as the escape vehicle and direction should be noted. The senior safety advisors also advise not to change anything in the apartment until the police arrive so as not to cover up any traces that could be crucial to the investigation.
