Raser in Bremen: 104 km/h instead of permitted 50 - fine and driving ban!
Raser in Bremen: 104 km/h instead of permitted 50 - fine and driving ban!
In Bremen-Neustadt-Obersteiande, an intensive speed control took place from Friday to Saturday, which was carried out by the police. Between 00:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., the emergency services were active on Habenhauser Brückenstraße and Neuenlander Straße. The review of the vehicles impressively showed that faster driving is a dangerous game for many. 65 vehicles were measured within just two hours, which led to significant violations.
The results of the control were clear: six drivers threaten driving bans as a consequence of their excessive speed. The sad record was set up by a driver who chased the strawberry bridge at 104 km/h, where the top speed is 50 km/h. A fine of 560 euros and a two -month driving ban now expects this speed. Another road user who was on the Neuenlander Straße at 89 km/h will have to expect a monthly driving ban and a fine of 260 euros
consequences of speed controls
The police fear that aggressive driving and non -adapted speeds are common causes of serious traffic accidents. This justifies the need for such measures, especially at night, when the risk is often underestimated. Not only the speed overruns were recorded within the controlled period of time, but a total of 13 administrative offense procedures were also initiated. These high numbers reflect that the security awareness of many drivers is obviously not sufficiently developed.
The Bremen police are planning to carry out both stationary and mobile traffic controls in the future in order to increase traffic safety. Here you rely on a mixture of visibly patrolling radio patrol cars and less striking civil vehicles in order to monitor compliance with the speed limits more effectively. The measures are intended to help reduce the number of serious traffic accidents.
The regulations and speed requirements are not only arbitrary regulations, but they exist to protect all road users. The police appealed to all drivers to respect the speed limits and to take responsibility in road traffic. A personal advice could be here: not only pay attention to your own well -being, but also to the safety of others.
Such checks are of great importance at a time when more and more road users are distracted or inattentive. They show that the police actively act against traffic violations and that driving under the influence of excessive speed has serious consequences. Another aspect that is often addressed in the discussion about traffic safety is the role of social responsibility. The traffic situation in cities requires rethinking, and the driver's self -control is also required. With these regular controls, the Bremen police will continue their course to ensure safety in road traffic. By evaluating such actions and their results, it also becomes clear that a lot of educational work in relation to speed limits and their compliance must still be done. The acute consequences that the racers have to wear are one. But it is the long -term change in driving behavior that is desired to make the streets safer for everyone.
