In the multicultural district of Gröpelingen in Bremen, 18-year-old Sumeja Zumberi founded a café that is only accessible to women. This new gastronomy concept should offer women a retreat and is strongly inspired by Kosovar culture. "It is a long -cherished dream that has finally become a reality," says Zumberi about her ice cream parlor "Baresha", which has been open for about a month. Sumeja Zumberi, who was born in Germany, emphasizes that such women cafes in her homeland, Kosovo, are quite normal. "I think that women feel much more comfortable here than in mixed cafes," she explains as she ties up with the tradition of her family. The name "Baresha" in Albanian means something like sheep shirt and symbolizes the responsibility that women take on in many areas of life.
