Konstantin Kuntzsch, a prominent chef who already won a Michelin star in the “Speiseberg” restaurant in Halle an der Saale, set up his own business in April 2024 with the “MiZAR” restaurant in Würzburg. In “MiZAR”, Kuntzsch runs the kitchen, while his business partner Florian Mack is responsible for the service and the wine cellar.

“MiZAR” is a smaller restaurant located near the Main and the old town of Würzburg. Guests are treated to a creative, modern and seasonal menu consisting of nine courses starting at 7:15 p.m. Kuntzsch attaches great importance to encouraging guests to enjoy and linger.

Special features and philosophy

The chef mainly uses regional Franconian ingredients and is inspired by visits to other restaurants. Kuntzsch observes that many guests return and order the same courses again, which makes him very happy. His goal is to cook product- and guest-oriented and to tailor the dishes to the wishes of the visitors.

The “MiZAR” restaurant is characterized not only by its modern interior with decorative art, but also by a targeted selection of wines from the region.
