MBS Arena, Potsdam, Deutschland - The exciting news from SC Potsdam are here! A true festival of the honors took place at the end of October when the U 16 team, which won the German championship in Dissen in April, was celebrated in front of a large audience. In a gripping Bundesliga home game against the Allianz MTV Stuttgart (final score 3: 0), the championship team presented itself on the field after the second set. The trainers Kristina Rübenam and Karen Kikulski were proud when the President of the Brandenburg Volleyball Association, Britta Müller, presented flowers and celebrated the cheering fans in the MBS Arena.
Floorball Triumph and exciting games
In floorball, SC Potsdam remains unchallenged at the head of the 2nd Floorball Bundesliga Süd/East! On Sunday, the team triumphed against the UPS Halle Saalebiber with a gripping 7: 5 (1: 1, 1: 3, 5: 1). After a difficult start, which was anything but promising up to the last third, the Potsdamers showed an impressive turn. Anton Sehorcz, Pascal Dubail, Jonas Henschler, Simon Janiszewski and three -time goal scorer Veeti Nieminen ensured the magnificent victory. Another highlight was the honor of Gina Böttcher in Düsseldorf as "Sportshilfe Para-Juniorsportler 2024". The 23-year-old had previously celebrated a gold hat trick at the European Paraschwimming Championships on Madeira and secured a silver medal at the Paralympics in Paris. The golfin Helen Briem was also recognized as "Sports Aid Junior Sporter 2024", while the male U 18-3 × 3 basketball national team was honored as "Sporthilfe Junior Sportler team 2024". The ski racer Nele Schutzbach received the title "Sports Aid Deaf Junior Sporter 2024".
The second division volleyball players of SC Potsdam, on the other hand, had to accept another defeat on Saturday. After the previous away win against Blau-Weiß Dingden, the team of coach Björn Matthes lost 0: 3 (14:25, 25:27, 18:25) in the MBS Arena. With just two points from five season games, SC Potsdam 2 is currently in eleventh place in the 2nd League North, while the USC took second place with 13 points.
