Bad Liebenwerda remains a spa town: fresh certificate until 2034!
Bad Liebenwerda will remain an official spa town until at least 2034! The certificate was presented at a festive event on Friday. This is the fourth time the city has received this prestigious status, which has existed since 1994. At that time, Bad Liebenwerda was the first recognized health resort in Brandenburg, and this title is more than just a symbol.
The city waited for months for the decision of the Advisory Board for Health Resorts and Recreation Resorts of the State of Brandenburg. A council delegation had already visited the city in August to take a closer look at the health resorts, baths and the local health clinic. Mayor Johannes Berger emphasized to rbb that the spa town status was not just symbolic. It makes it easier for the city to access financial support, which is crucial for the development and maintenance of spa services.
A title with weight
The next review of the spa town status is not due until 2034. Until then, Bad Liebenwerda can continue to adorn itself with the title, which brings not only prestige but also economic advantages. The importance of the status is reflected in the support the city receives for its health and recreation facilities. A title that pays off!
