Eisenhüttenstadt, Deutschland - commuter! At the end of October and early November, a significant fault factor on the Zuklinia RE 10 and RB 43 between Frankfurt (Oder), Eisenhüttenstadt, Guben and Cottbus brings massive restrictions! Trains are canceled - by alternative, buses are available that will bring travelers to their goals with considerable delays.

Already on the evening of October 28, passengers can make some unpleasant surprises. The RE 10 from Leipzig, which arrives in Eisenhüttenstadt on time at 9:59 p.m. and should continue to Frankfurt (Oder) at 10:00 p.m. Instead, a bus of rail replacement (SEV) is used, which, however, will only take the travelers in Frankfurt (Oder) at 10:53 p.m. with a changeover of several minutes. That means waiting for over half an hour!

Railway traffic between Frankfurt and Cottbus

In the opposite direction, the evening program becomes even more complicated! The last train of the RB 43 line, which should run from Frankfurt (Oder) to Cottbus at 11:22 p.m., is also no longer available to Eisenhüttenstadt! Instead, a SEV bus, which only starts at 11:25 p.m. and starts with an arrival in Eisenhüttenstadt at 0:11 a.m. Travelers then have to wait for the following train to Cottbus, which now only leaves at 0:20 a.m.

The next nights also promise no better driving comfort. On the 4th/5th and 5./6. November the train traffic between Guben and Cottbus falls into the water again. In the night from November 4th to November 5th, the trains remain at 9:02 p.m. and 11:02 p.m. from Cottbus, as well as at 9:10 p.m., 10:10 p.m. and 0:05 a.m. from Guben. Anyone who thinks that all buses will be on time is wrong: the SEV bus, which runs from Cottbus at 11:05 p.m., only rolls in in Frankfurt (Oder) at 2:01 a.m. and thus turns a rainy evening a horror scenario for uprooted commuters!

Restrictions and delays through construction work

The cause of these massive disorders are urgent repair work on the railway line. But be careful: the transport of bicycles, wheelchairs and strollers is only possible to a limited extent in the buses, which could provide additional frustrations! The local staff decides in individual cases - here the patience of the travelers is put to the test!
