In Brandenburg an der Havel, an exciting event has started: the "model railway days". This event, which lasts until October 20, 2024, offers an impressive exhibition of model tracks in the St. Johanniskirche. Mayor Steffen Scheller did not miss the opportunity to stop by on the opening day. He was enthusiastic about the variety of model railway world and emphasized the importance of this tradition.
"The model railway days in our city are a nice tradition and show in particular to children and young people that playful train driving is not only possible on the computer. The model railway hobby requires imagination and manual skill, takes place in the group and does not rule out digital change," explained the mayor and underlined the value that such creative hobbies have for the community.
diverse models for every taste
The event will be organized for the 26th time by the Brandenburg Modellbahn-Freunde e.V. This year, numerous model railroaders and clubs are invited to present their fascinating miniature worlds. These include the N-Modellbahn- und Busfreunde Berlin and the Cracauer Modellbahnfreunde Magdeburg e.V. Together they show on an exhibition area of impressive 450 square meters of model railways in different traces and sizes.

Whether a small N-track up to the widely known H0 variant, also dioramas, showcases and display boards complete the exhibition and offer a holistic insight into the world of model railway construction.
