central fireworks display at the turn of the year

The city of Bernau organizes a central fireworks display at the turn of 2024/2025, which will begin at midnight on January 1, 2025. As Barnim Aktuell , the fireworks will take 15 minutes and the fireworks are ignited at heights of up to 130 meters.

The fireworks are staged by the Maco fireworks company from the Ore Mountains, which looks back on over 20 years of experience and has already designed fire works for cities such as Brandenburg and Oranienburg. The ignition location is located at the former army clothing at the Schwanebecker Chaussee.

The fireworks will be clearly visible from various points in Bernau, such as Bernau-Süd, Ladestrasse and higher places such as Park decks. However, access to the site of the former Army Clothing Championships remains prohibited. The city is investing almost 20,000 euros in the spectacle, with the aim of delighting citizens and guests with a colorful start to the new year and reducing private fireworks expenses.

The regulatory office and the Bernau volunteer fire brigade provide information on private fireworks: only tested fireworks should be used, and rockets should be ignited outdoors, free of obstacles and stable.
