Blue light day in Neumünster: a day full of action and surprises!

Neumünster. A spectacle of a special kind took place on Sunday in Neumünster! The first blue light spots attracted the masses with impressive demonstrations and numerous emergency services. Over 200 full-time and volunteers of 16 different services showed the thousands of visitors what happens behind the scenes of the emergency services. From drug searches to emergency aid - the variety of presentations was breathtaking!

A highlight was the spectacular fat explosion of the fire brigade, which caused big eyes. But lighting a Christmas tree turned out to be a trickier, as fire department spokesman Alexander Blüher noticed humorously: "We cannot make fire, we are better off." The tree was just too fresh. " The event not only offered action, but also valuable insights into the work of the emergency services.

Blauglichtag in Neumünster: Drone was an eye-catcher

The fire brigade also presented an impressive nine kilo drone, which is equipped with a technical equipment worth 40,000 euros. Andre Büstrin, responsible for information and communication, explained that the drone is used not only for fires, but also when looking for people. "It delivers live images to the operations center," says Büstrin. Unfortunately, the drone was not allowed to go up for security reasons.

The visitors were thrilled! Tobias Kühlmann found the presentation "interesting and exciting". His son Mats was allowed to try on the protective equipment of the federal police and was impressed by the weight of the protective vest. Lotta Büll also took the opportunity to take a seat on a police motorcycle. "This also takes the children a bit of fear of the blue light," remarked their father Ingo.
